Invite your husband to sit on the couch with you (it’s probably better if you do this after the kids are in bed) and share your thoughts about the past year.
Share also from your heart about how much you love him, how he has been there for you, encouraged you and been a part of the past year’s events.
This is a time of blessing and sharing (It’s OK to acknowledge struggles, but share the good stuff about who he is and what he’s done). When you’re done, give him a little gift. It doesn’t have to be much, just something that says he’s loved. Kisses are good too.
Christmas is not as much about opening our presents as opening our hearts.
